Hello! Welcome to 2nd grade. My name is Beth Fuston and I am a graduate of Texas A&M University. I have been a teacher for 13 years and have been teaching in DSISD for 6 years. I graduated with a degree in Education. I have teaching certificates in General Education grades 1-8, Special Education grades PK-12 and Reading grades 1-6. I am certified to teach ESL, PBL's and I am GT trained.
My teaching philosophy is that every child is special and has their own unique way of learning. I have a passion for teaching and treat each student like they are one of my own children. I am dedicated, resourceful and goal oriented with a strong commitment to the academic and developmental growth of every student. As a facilitator, I will strive to help my students become successful, life-long learners and future leaders. I enjoy spending time with my husband Kris, our two boys Ty (17) and Tucker (11) and our German Shorthaired Pointer, Finn. I also enjoy collaborating and learning with other educators, riding horses, reading, shopping, organizing, and spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to a fabulous year in 2nd grade! |
